What places are realistic ? Is ortho possible ? Father alum USC - was going to do away rotation there but is it worth it ? Female athlete (fitness competitor) and yoga instructor, unique cv... Does that even help ?

You're probably money. Make sure to apply broadly beyond Cali. As I've said a million times, research is either WHO you know or WHAT you know (I fell into the latter) so don't let the Plastics worry you. Dynasties help, but again, apply broadly.
