X-fix - All you have to do is find some ortho programs near where you live that you know are affiliated with university or academic institution. Then be PERSISTENT in calling/contacting them and asking for the opportunity to do some projects with or help them out with whatever they are doing. Send them a copy of your CV as you contact them. That should get you in the door. That's what I did and It worked for me...give it a shot Let me knwo how it works out too...

Thanks HJ and Apanchal. I'm thinking of that I would like to practice in the tri-state area, NY PA NJ, although the malpractice situation is horrible, I feel like there are a good number of ortho programs in this area for me to choose from. Does anyone know much about the UMDNJ program?

As far as for the research/pubs, case reports are a great idea. Thanks HJ. I'll try asking around about any ortho projects. It just seems like everyone is so tight lipped about what they're working on. But you're right Apanchal, I need to be more persistent. Thank you both for your advice I'll let you know of my progress.
