What programs will consider you without rotating?
I know that most programs suggest that you rotate before they will even interview you. However, I wasn't fortunate enough to spend my third and fourth year at a hub site that had a ortho residency. I understand this puts me at a disadvantage. My program allows me very little out rotations.
I would be interested in this as well. I know the DO programs put a lot of emphasis on rotations. I'm sure there are many qualified applicants that don't match.
in the past there have been a few places that i know of that will interview non-rotators....st. john oakland, mt clemens, genesys and garden city. these programs are all in michigan. it may be different now but 3-4 years ago thats how it was. hope that helps
i am a few years out from applying as well, but mt clemens will only take rotators. i know doctors and pcom take rotators. grandview will interview you if you didn't rotate, but i think your application has to be very good though.
Ok i'm stupid, which program is Grandview...I was looking through the DO programs and couldn't figure this out, I think there is a MD program in Grandview though...
