Low COMLEX level 1 chance?

Hello,
I'm a third year DO student who is really interested in Ortho but due to my low COMLEX 1 score, I am not sure if I could make it. I just took COMLEX 2CE early and did pretty well, thanks God! Here is my stats:

Level 1: 473
Level 2: 662
Signed up for PE exam.
Class Rank: 2nd Quarter
Straight As in 3rd year core
Honor Grade in General Surgery core
Honor Grade in Orthopedic Surgery elective
Taking research elective rotation in Pediatric Anesthesiology and expecting to publish with the attending.
Sigma Sigma Phi member
Plan to sign up for audition rotations however my stats are low so I don't have any preference, may be MI and PA.
Any advice or experience is welcome. Thank you!

You'll be fine; especially since you destoryed step 2. Looks like step 1 was a fluke. Rotate where ever you want; maybe avoid those strict you need 600+ places like Toledo.

Thank you very much for the encouragement. It's an uphill battle and I am more than willing to amend my weakness. Which program should I focus on rotations to max out my chance? since obviously I can't rotate at all 38 programs.

Anyone out there already went through the process please let me know. I may not be smart but I am willing to work hard.

You can rotate at any programs you'd like imo. I know places like Des Peres, Toledo, Grandview, Dcotors? like high step 1, however, with your great step 2, they might not even care if you are a good rotator.

From a ## standpoint, unless you are from a Florida school, rotating in Florida seems risky (only 3 spots). Also don't rotate in Erie if you are not from LECOM.

I choose my rotations based on location preference and what I gathered from my upperclassmen in regards to each program.
