board scores - does USMLE matter? was created by orthorbst
Hello,

I'm a third year beginning to set up audition rotations. I know that rotation is significantly more important than board scores, but my question is - does anyone know if programs look at USMLE scores (obviously if taken)? For whatever reason I have consistently done better on USMLE than COMLEX, and am wondering if that will be of benefit and if I should report my USMLE scores on my CV or applications. (basically to show them that I can perform well on tests, just apparently not on COMLEX).

Also, I know to stay away from Toledo and Des Peres without a 600+, but any others where board scores matter a ton?

Thanks

St. John Oakland, Harrisburg, Doctors, Grandview.... All love high boards, 600+ at least.

Riverside, CA had a spot on their form for it. I didn't report mine, not because they were bad just because I didn't want to pay the extra money to release scores since it didn't really matter. You'll be near that transition period of joint accreditation. If you scored well, especially if better on USMLE I would report. Some programs won't care but others might see that you can perform well on exams and maybe you had an off day during COMLEX.
