Denver Health is a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma center dedicated to excellence in trauma care, education, and research. The Orthopedic Research Resident Development Program began in 2019 with the goal of developing high achieving medical students into future leaders of orthopedics. During this one-year program, students will be immersed in orthopedic trauma with daily fracture conferences, weekly didactics, monthly orthopedic call coverage with residents (University of Colorado), and invaluable research experience with strong mentors in the field, resulting in multiple peer-reviewed publications, national presentations, and research skills that will support their future career aspirations. In addition, students will have the opportunity to complete a one-month orthopedic sub-internship at a program of their choosing.

Applicants must be current 3rd or 4th year medical school students in the United States. A yearly stipend of ~$40,000 is available for selected applicants. To apply, please send a curriculum vitae and a personal statement (1 page max) to Dr. Cyril Mauffrey, Chair, Department of Orthopedic Surgery (This email address is being protected from spambots.
