Massachusetts General Hospital / Newton-Wellesley Hospital Orthopaedic Surgery Adult Reconstruction Research Fellowship (1 year)

Who: US medical students between M3 interested in Orthopedic Surgery. Only USA students will be considered (we are unable to support visa requirements)
Where: Massachusetts General Hospital and Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Department of Adult Reconstructive Surgery
Salary: Paid

Drs. Melnic and Bedair are seeking a highly motivated and highly organized medical student interested in orthopaedic surgery residency for a twelve-month research fellowship between their third and fourth years of medical school. Dr. Bedair and Dr. Melnic are faculty of the renowned Arthroplasty division at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Boston, MA. Alumni of this fellowship had matched into top-tier residencies, including Rutgers and University of Pennsylvania. Research fellows will work closely with residents, fellows, faculty at MGH as well as multicenter studies with Rothman, UPenn, and Rush. During this one year research period, the selected candidate will help with coordination of research projects, collecting and analyzing data, submission of IRB protocols, and writing / editing adult reconstruction manuscripts and book chapters. Most recent student will finish with 15+ manuscripts, several as first author.
Candidates should be comfortable with statistical analysis of data.
