I had a question for people who have conflicts with some of the interview dates (1/9, 1/10). Are you letting the programs know or are you waiting to see if you can swap. I just wonder if it will help some of us that haven't heard from those programs(ex: wait list?). Anyone who dealt with this it would be good to hear from you.
Thanks

I'm torn on this issue... I tried to do the "right" thing and not take a spot I knowingly won't be able to use. However, I had the opportunity to swap dates with another applicant and didn't have anything to swap. Since I didn't take the other date, I can't do the swap and I'm now sitting on the eternal wait list for the date I need. I think this is a situation where you have to do what YOU think is right. On the one hand, they did offer the spot for your use... on the other you are keeping someone else from using a spot you can't. It's a tough one...

I intentionally "double booked" two dates b/c at the time of the invite that was my only option. They were far enough off that I could decide which one I wanted and cancel one interview on each date in plenty of time to allow others to take the spot. I made some calls/sent emails, puckered up and kissed some ace and was able to get one interview from each date rescheduled as other people canceled so that I could go on all four. I figured if they were crazy enough to like me in the first place, they would try and accomodate my schedule as much as possible. One program has even rescheduled me twice...good luck
