Interview Frustrations

I received an e-mail concerning an interview at Virginia Commonwealth recently and it clearly stated to call
after November 8th to schedule an interview. When I called that afternoon I was informed the interview
slots had been filled on a first come/first serve basis and I was too late. I was told "sorry" and "bye." I
was also told that I could call back at a later date to see if there are any cancellations. Has anyone else
been subject to this scheduling process? I am quite irritated. I attempted to call but was told they are
aware of the situation and they do this every year. I am also looking forward to my interview at
Arkansas. There are sixteen, 10 minute, interviews. Doesn't sound like fun... Are all interviews similar to
this?

I have heard from 7 of the 45 programs.

Interviews at Emory, San Antonio, Ft. Worth, VCU, and Arkansas. Any inside information about these
programs would be helpful. Denied at Carolinas and Indiana.

I am a student at Oklahoma and rotated at Campbell Clinic. So, if anyone has any questions about those
programs let me know.

Virginia Commonwealth

That place is notorious, when I was applying for residency the secretary was never available to schedule
an interview and when I finally did get in touch with her they were full. These interviews are for your
career not a damned radio call in promotion and for them to be so non-chalant about the whole affair
proved to me it's really no program at which you want to be.
