As we have now really begun our interview seasons, I just wanted to post a friendly reminder for us all to remember to not hold onto multiple interviews for the same date. We're all in this together and as much as want to set ourselves as best as possible to match, try to make a decision as early as possible if you will actually be able to attend an interview that you have been offered. You never know if that spot you're holding could be offered to someone who is absolutely in love with the program and just hoping for a chance to interview there.

We're all in this together, and I wish everyone the best of luck!
Well said; I second this.

Just to bump this:

As has been discussed - and in the Thanksgiving spirit - the 1st 2 weekends of December appear to be mostly full for a majority of applicants. Probably means that if you need to swap from that date, there's a minimal chance at best for that to happen. For the sake of those who don't have interviews yet on those days, please consider returning those inevitable redundancies (I've seen a lot of same posters asking to switch a date for weeks on the swap thread), and hopefully giving someone a better chance of achieving their life's dream.

Don't get me wrong - you earned that interview and theoretically can do what you'd like. Just a humble suggestion.

Happy Thanksgiving all

I've cancelled two 12/14 interviews (with reasonable notice), yet I'm still seeing folks holding onto interviews coming up very soon that they obviously can't make. We all need some good karma bro!!!

I switched a 12/14 with almost 2 weeks' notice as well. I hope this will help someone. I know someone switching helped me, which I very much appreciate. I'm all for helping you guys. You're going to be my colleagues, after all. Good luck.
