heard this program is headed down the drain (if it already isn't). my impression comes from people that i have met on the interview trail that have personal connections with this program. definitely a gamble to go to based on second hand information. i would love to hear any further input.

Hiya,
Have interviews at LSU-New Orleans and Tulane on the 11th and the 12th of this month. Ummm, as for LSU-NO, they're supposedly losing their Chairman and their Vice-Chair. From what I've heard, their Chairman has been visiting Colorado a LOT and is supposedly going to accept their chairmanship. Their vice-chair is going to UMKC. I talked to his son when I interviewed at UMKC and he said his dad is definitely leaving as he doesn't want to be the new chair.
I'm going to both of these programs because they're in driving distance and I managed to get them back to back. I've pretty much already decided on several places that are going to be in my top 8 or so for my rank list but I'm still going on the rest just for kicks. I'm off in January and who knows, I may be surprised by the places I'm going to go. As for LSU and Tulane I heard that their get-together's are big parties so hey, there's that in the Big Easy anyway. If anyone has anymore to add about LSU or Tulane, please let me know.

Well, I'm headed to New Orleans this weekend to interview at Tulane...wondering what others know about their program, and to those who interviewed there last week, what did you guys think?
