The Texas Children's Hospital Department of Orthopaedics and Scoliosis in Houston, Texas, is one of the leaders in research in orthopedic surgery and is currently ranked #8 by the US News and World Report.Located in the heart of the largest medical center in the world, clinical research coordinators will be involved in multiple research projects mentored by various faculty in pediatric orthopedics. Dr. Brian G. Smith, the Chief of the Division of Orthopaedics and Scoliosis, and Dr. Scott B. Rosenfeld, Associate Chief of Research and Education will provide direct mentorship for the students during the year. Research coordinators will be supported by several invested attendings who treat a spectrum of rare musculoskeletal diseases to common conditions at a volume unique to any hospital system. Research will primarily be of neuromuscular conditions, musculoskeletal oncology, leg length discrepancies, and scoliosis. Coordinators will have the independence to work remotely when necessary while also having the ability to get exposure to the clinic, OR, and collaborate with residents, fellows, and attendings. Coordinators are expected to first/co-author at least 5-10 manuscripts.   This is a great opportunity and boasts a 100% match rate.
