Akron General...
I don't remember the name of the place to report, but if you take the shuttle from the hotel (where they put you up), they dropped me off and told me exactly where to go. Then the lady in that office paged the resident who came and got me.
As for the interview day...First of all they only interview 2 people each day. You go to morning conference, then there is a resident that is kind of assigned to be the applicant escort for the day. He took us over to children's hospital (in his car) where we interviewed with one attending and got a tour of children's. Then he came back to pick us up and took us back to Akron General and gave us a tour of the hospital. We met a few residents here and there. We had a meeting with the Benefits Coordinator so you can be wowed by all of the benefits that they give to residents. Then we were escorted back to the ortho offices and we had 2 interviews -- one with Dr. Leeson the chairman and one with another attending. Then we chatted with some residents a little more and then the resident/escort took us out to lunch at a nice restaurant in town where we were joined by one other resident as well. Overall it was a very nice day. It is quite obvious that the residents are treated very well here. The amount of little perks and benefits was pretty impressive, as was the entire program. It will be pretty high on my list despite the fact that it is in Akron Ohio!
good luck... :smokin:
