Big T, I'm assuming with your post that you heard on 11/4 which was a few days later than Sportsdoc. Did you get a group offer or individualized? Just trying to give myself some hope and see if offers are being let out a few at a time with some more to come at a date to be announced. The rumor you heard about Carolinas is true Bigpiece. They have one guy thay played for the Miami Heat for a few years. Apparently, he lives in a nicer house than some of the attendings. They also have an NFL washout and several ex-D1 players. I guess they do have a couple token "research geeks" to churn out papers for them also. This info came from a fellow there, so I am assuming it to be true.

Medical College of Wisconsin sent out "Your application is complete" e-mails. They are sending apps to committee this week and will send out interview invites via e-mail on the day before Thanksgiving.

I too have a thing for chicago so I'm psyched to have heard from them. I rotated there but just spoke with a guy in my class who did not and got an invite too.
I did not rotate at Pitt. Another classmate of mine got an invite there too and he didn't rotate either.
Their email is kinda funny. They tell you that it costs them a lot of time, money and effort to interview you and if you pull a no show without letting them know beforehand, they will inform your Ortho Chair and Dean that you make your medical school look bad. I agree it would be p@#$-poor form to do such a thing, but I also think its funny they feel the need to threaten the "Ralphie Treatment" on you. I guess they have had trouble with that sort of thing in the past. Oh well.
UMKC is offering invites via e-mail for Dec. 5, Dec. 19, or Jan 9.
They say that they invited 43 people but only have 11 spots on each day therefore can only interview the first 33 to respond out of the 43 that were invited.
I guess that's their way of getting you to reply quickly!

Only 33 people get the priveledge of hearing how the UMKC Chair's dick is bigger than their's what a bummer.
I don't get this whole invite more people than you have spots @$%&. I think I would be tempted to lock them up for an interview and then no show on purpose.
