Poggi Pediatric Orthopaedic Research Fellowship

The Johns Hopkins Orthopedic Surgery Department invites current third-year medical students to apply for a funded one-year clinical research fellowship during the 2017 - 2018 academic year.
The Poggi Pediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship’s goal is to launch the careers of tomorrow’s leaders. This year of research is designed for medical students between their third- and fourth-years destined for a career in orthopaedic surgery. There are three components to the program: research, clinical exposure, and mentoring.
The Poggi Fellow will be involved in a variety of research projects. The research is designed to answer questions and solve problems in the area of pediatric orthopaedic trauma, sports medicine, spine, hip and hand disorders, patient safety, healthcare quality and value, as well as medical economics. Students meet with Dr. Sponseller and the Department faculty several times weekly to assure satisfactory supervision and mentorship.
We will begin accepting applications on November 15, 2016
Deadline is February 15, 2017
