The Division of Adult Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Langone Health is offering a two year research fellowship for medical school graduates and a one-year research fellowship for current medical school students interested in pursuing orthopedic clinical research.

The fellow would work closely with Drs. James Slover, Ran Schwarzkopf, and other adult reconstruction attending physicians, orthopedic surgery residents and fellows, statisticians and other research staff in the hospital, clinic, and laboratory setting. Fellows work in conjunction with attending physician mentors to develop and submit research projects. Raj Karia, Director of Clinical Research, is the administrator of the fellowship program.

As part of the clinical research experience, fellows develop skills in patient interaction, learn and improve upon physical exam maneuvers, and observe orthopedic surgeries. Individuals participating in this program would have the opportunity to accompany the adult reconstruction surgery team during morning conference, listen to experts speak about current research during weekly Grand Rounds, and have the opportunity to become an important member of the NYU Langone Medical Center research community.
