Position: Two Clinical Research Fellowships

Where: NYU Langone Health 

Who: NYU Shoulder and Elbow Division Attendings including Dr.'s Mandeep S. Virk, MD; Young W. Kwon, MD, PhD; Andrew S. Rokito, MD; and Joseph D. Zuckerman, MD

Start: Approximately 4/29/2024 (orientation during the first 1-2 weeks).

Research Fellowship Experience: This is a wonderful opportunity for a highly-motivated individuals to strengthen their application for the orthopedic surgery residency match. The research fellow is expected to work on numerous projects with several investigators, the clinical fellow, and residents; therefore, excellent organizational and communication skills are paramount. Duties of the fellow include, but are not limited to:
- Developing projects in accordance with the rest of the team
- Filming Surgeries in the OR- Data collection, management, and statistical analysis
- Drafting, editing, and submitting studies for publication (abstract and manuscripts)
- Writing and obtaining IRB approval for new study protocols/ continuing reviews on active studies
- Using REDCap and microsoft office software
- Enrolling patients and ensuring completion of prospective studies
- Supervising medical students assisting with divisional studiesIn addition,

Opportunities to be mentored in a hospital clinic and research setting are available as well. This is an unpaid opportunity. Participants must live around NYC as remote work is not feasible.
