I know a few programs told the interviewees outright that they would not be contacting anyone after the interview date (Mayo, NYU, etc.). I haven't had much post interview contact from any programs where I interviewed thus far this year, outside of a few texts from residents that I already knew from aways.

Anyone been getting a whole lot of post-interview contact, or are they actually trying to move away from it to stop influencing applicants' rank lists as mentioned by a few programs?

Also, is anyone planning on sending emails to your top programs even if they said they will not be participating in post-interview contact, or just letting it ride?
1. Got no post interview contact from any place except from some residents on away (same as you).

2. Got a generic "thanks for coming" response when I emailed some programs that hinted that we should send thank you emails.

3. Send my #1 an email, no response.

I think the trend towards no post interview contact is quite strong though I have heard a few of my friends who were called by PD/Chief Resident telling them they were ranked to match. Most of my friends haven't heard a peep.

Concur...seems like there hasn't been much contact for anyone that I've talked to. Got generic thank yous from places other than my home program.
