I'm a long time reader but I don't really post often but this recent sniping is getting kinda old. I'm in the position of having fewer interviews then I like, but I think that attacking people who have more is such a general surgery attitude.

I think that while there isn't statistical significance in interviewing at more than 11 places, sometimes there are places we apply to that we know very little about and are pleasantly surprised by. People should go on as many interviews as they feel they need to get into a place they're going to be happy for 5 yrs. Just remember, after 11 interviews you're just funding the airlines

sciffy, make sure and go on ALL of your 17 interviews, or at least hold onto them 'till the last minute. i'll just keep holding my breath waiting for you to maybe cancel a few. 17 is a bit too close to 10. h$%&, you might not match.

I think it would more helpful when you post your replies to add a little bit of personal information. Such as Board Score, GPA, region, and reputation of your school.
