Another freaking candidate

Yeah...you're Step I score is going to be a problem at most places. From my experiance there is a widespread cutoff at most places around 220. My advice is to do as many away rotations as possible; It's obvious from your 3rd year grades that people you work with think you are a superstar! Let this work to your advantage! You can do it!

Your 3rd year grades are great, but your board score will hurt you. Agree with all the above...if you're interested in the cities you mentioned, I'll give you an honest opinion on places that you may want to consider when deciding on where to do your aways:

New York: Montefiore, SUNY Brooklyn, St. Lukes, Maimonedes, NY medical college (either one) -- i would stay away from the rest as they generally require higher boards

Philly: Temple, Einstein, and MAYBE MCP-Hahnemann -- stay away from Jeff and Penn

New Jersey: any of the programs in jersey would be fine...monmouth would give you more consideration than others

Miami, Boston and DC -- i wouldn't rotate anywhere in either of these cities given your board score...maybe GW but i wouldn't bother.

It is very possible for you to match. Keep up the research if possible. Accentuate the positive on your interviews, and work harder than anyone else on your ortho rotations. Do this and good things will come.
