It seems that there are several of us who have recieved invites to NYMC Westchester conflicting with other interviews. Since they don't have an ortho website I am having trouble getting info to decide what to do. Does anyone (applicant/resident) have any insight on the programs ups and downs? Thanks for any help. I hate scheduling conflicts!

Doesn't anyone know about this program? Any of the others that are interviewing maybe? New Yorkers where are you?

While interviewing in NYC this last weekend, I tried to feel around and get some info on NYMC. No one had much to say other than:

- Unlike the Manhattan programs, they get a good deal of high speed MVA trauma, since they're by a major interstate.
- They spend some unknown amount of time at St. Vincents in Manhattan, which is pretty solid commute (25-45 minutes).
- Secondhand source said that at least one resident was happy.

Thanks for getting the info. It shouldn't be this difficult though. NYMC-Westchester needs to set up a website with at least some basic info for applicants. I cancelled my interview with them partly because of this. If I didn't have a conflicting interview I would have gone, but the other program is known to be solid. Good luck to anyone who does interview at
Westchester though.
