This question has been answered numerous times. Your life after residency is what you make of it. There are hundreds of jobs across the country with different call, hours, etc... You just need to pick the one that fits you best and that is in an area you would like to live in. What you see in residency and medical school is not the typical lifestyle of the private practice orthopedist.
