The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Winthrop Hospital has a 5 year ACGME accredited residency training program in orthopaedic surgery which sponsors 15 residents (three in each year of training).
NYU Winthrop Hospital, an affiliate of NYU Langone, is a 591-bed tertiary care facility providing world class care throughout the Long Island and greater New York metropolitan region. As a level 1 trauma center, residents receive a strong, diverse surgical experience along with unique hands-on patient care opportunities. Now sponsoring 28 independent residency and fellowship programs, NYU Winthrop Hospital is dedicated to teaching and plans to recruit its first class of medical students in July 2019 for the NYU Long Island School of Medicine—a partnership between New York University and NYU Winthrop Hospital on its Mineola, Long Island campus. For more information, please visit our website at http://www.nyuwinthrop.org.
We will be accepting applications starting May 1, 2019 for 4-week orthopaedic surgery elective rotations taking place during the 2019-2020 academic year.
