Ok, there should be a thread for these too (why should interviewees have all the fun).

Indiana via snail mail: offered no dates and told me to go fellate myself.

My wife is going to be soooo happy we don't have to move to Indiana.

I got the shaft from Akron General via e-mail.... TWICE! Haven't heard anything from Indiana but I'm not too hopeful at this point.

Would anyone be willing to give Step numbers/geographical location so we can put things into context for the future?

No love from Akron if you go to med school in Cali might be different than no love from Akron if you go to school in Ohio. Ditto for 257 vs 186 Step I.

Do most programs formally reject you or do they just blow you off entirely without an e-mail or letter?

Just curious because I have applied to a few programs that have already given out some interviews and some rejections and I didn't get either. My application is far from superb so it seems odd that I haven't heard either way. Thanks.

regrets received from wake as well.
nothing from duke or unc, even though they've apparently starting contacting their A-team.

and, does anyone know what's going on with the trouble in downloading dean's letters? OSU couldn't contact because of such trouble- anything from the rumor mill??

DAMN, Wake butt-f+cked alot of us,
I wonder how many they interviewed ? The thing said 10%, but out of what ?? They only have two spots, maybe they only invited like 20 (our PD only invited 16 for 3 spots once, he knows what he's looking for though).
I'd be curious to see the stats of who got invites from them vs. who got dissed, wonder if there's any pattern, be it regional, score related, research, etc. Oh well, 49/49 would have been such a terrible burden anyway

so I've gotten an invite from wake, but an f-you from indiana... and absolutely no word from like 95% of the places I applied, though there's been talk about invites/rejections about a lot of them on the forum... who know's what's going on? my inbox is so quiet, and I'm going to go nuts if I open a "new mail" screen and see one more spam-mail for viagra...

It's still early, as long as I havn't gotten rejections, I'm not freaking out...yet.

Oh yeah, thanks for the help too, I didn't know those viagra things were spam...thought somebody was sending me a hint. I feel much better about myself now
