Ok, there should be a thread for these too (why should interviewees have all the fun).

Indiana via snail mail: offered no dates and told me to go fellate myself.

My wife is going to be soooo happy we don't have to move to Indiana.

(while the interview list remains small

I'm still 0 for the state of Texas as San Antonio said good luck elsewhere. Wisconsin, CMC, MUSC, Utah helped to make it a high five today.

Got the jag from BU, Tufts, UNM, USC, UCI, UCD, Harbor-UCLA, Colorado, UCSD...I'm noticing a very ominous trend over here. Even though I've heard that a lot of interview invites do come in december, this month is almost halfway over and I'm starting to get very, very worried...very. Anyways, do most programs send out interviews in waves? So that if their A team doesn't commit, then they can call in the B-team? (I can't imagine there's a C-team, although I'm praying to the almighty there is!) Or is it a case of if you haven't heard by now, you probably won't, because they won't even bother to get back to you?

Invites and waitlist notices will continue to come out through the end of December. People will sometimes tire of all the traveling and cancel interviews in late Jan/early Feb. For this reason, if you are on a waitlist, you may get an invite even into January. (I know this has been the case with GW in recent years, for example)

The Texas drought continues as I got the ole heave ho from Texas A&M and Baylor. Arkansas and Mt. Sinai piled on just to prove the old adage -- "If you can't kick a man when he's down, when can you kick him?"

Baylor was at least nice enough to tell me that if anything changed and all of the people that they want decide not to interview, they will contact me! Apparently Arkansas didn't have the same sentiments. Maybe I should have sent in all four required letters! At least I don't have to live in Little Rock!

Add Rush, Brown, Stanford and Cleveland Clinic to the list.\

Mt. Sinai waitlisted...

I think some schools may not even give rejection notices at all

dookiebob, did you receive an email directly stating you had been waitlisted...the email i got stated:
"Applications are still currently being reviewed by our Committee... We have many deserving candidates and are working to create our invitation list. Hopefully, we will be notifying you by e-mail in
the next couple of weeks..."

That's the one... My buddy got the rejection the same day, so I can only assume that I'm on the wait list.

In regards to the Mt Sinai email- it was not a waitlist notification. I looked into it, and apparently what it said is pretty much what they meant-they are reviewing application and send out stuff soon. I also was told some vague suggestions that actual invites may come out Monday (take this all with a grain of salt)

Campbell Clinic and UVA finally got around to rejecting me over the last day or two. that makes two rejections from UVA, once for the away rotation and once for the actual program.....i guess my essay on why i want to go to UVA wasn't very convincing

UVa gave me the boot as well...

I'm curious noskis, how did UVa reject you for the away rotation??? My friend called them up literally three days before he wanted to rotate there, and they allowed him to rotate there without any hesitation.

dookiebob,

UVA sent me a 1 line email less than a week before the time i had applied to rotate there saying they were full. i applied for the month of august, and had all my stuff in to them by mid-april. also put in the box for "second choice" that i'd really like to rotate there, so just let me know if august isn't available, and that i'd work something out to come another month. clearly it worked wonderfully
