i hear yall, two more also got the ax from tulane and arizona today...making it 4 today.

Howdy, just to join the chat here on rejection: I'm chilling at a top 10 school, and the 10/14 who are applying orth and weren't AOA aren't hearing anything either. I freaked out today and called all my programs to see when they sent things out......and pretty much if a school has ANY december interview dates, they have sent things out already.

So question and advice:
Question: have y'all been getting notified of rejection or calling to find out?
Advice: I'd recommend calling the programs you haven't heard from to ask when interview invites go out: called today and my call got me on the 'waitlist' at a state program and actually INVITED to interview at another school I had been dinged from.

But bottom line, helpless waiting is harsh. GOOD LUCK!

I've got 1 invite and 3 "regrets" so far (by email)... wonder if a phone call would work as well for me as it did for J-roid?

Curious to know if the date of application submission has any bearing? Does submitting early make a difference versus submitting later (but before the deadline)?

i would call and before saying your name, ask them if it is ok to know the status of your application, if they seem reluctant don't pursue it but if they say sure...

I agree with J-roid in that calling can make a difference, admissions people probably have 100's of similar applications in front of them and anything can tip them one way or the other, in my opinion.

Just got rejected from Tulane, Columbia, Emory, Florida-Jacksonville and Ohio State all in one day! Black Tuesday! Yesterday got the boot from William Beaumont.

At a top ten school; average applicant getting screwed...
must admit helps to read i'm not alone...got like 5 reject emails
in one sitting, one wait list email from IU and one interview...
thank god I have an interview at home school..

Heard from UK, Georgetown, columbia, UF, UNC...i'm assuming
more on the way

maybe i'll call and find out what i'm already assuming...more rejections..

Got canned by emory, columbia, tulane, arizona today. With the month of november marching on, and still no love (got the ax from u of chicago a few days ago), I'm starting to get some slight chest pains. 33 shots at glory left...

put me on the Tulane, UK, Greenville, and hell just screw me I have had better days with my head in the toilet

yesterday was a bad day. Rejections from Arizona, Greenville, and Tulane. Did get offer from Nebraska, so I guess all is not lost.

Forgot to add total rejections. KUMC, Wake, Arizona, Greenville, and Tulane. I'm expecting more since others are getting offers at schools that i haven't heard from. "Oh, the humanity!"

Well that's about 50% 4 0f 8 received so far there is still hope but I was only one down before yesterday then a flurry of fuck offs, 3 in a row, ouch. Let me officially thank those programs who have been especially nice to my sweet ass: Indiana, Ochsner foundation clinic (who?), Baylor, and John Peter Smith Hospital (what ?)

Univ. of Vermont by email. However, they put forth the effort to non-blinded cc: every person they rejected. Very nice; now we can all see exactly who got rejected along with us.

I can now add Univ of Mississippi to the list of Reject Programs.

Yesterday was brutal. Chalk me up for 'regrets' from AZ. Did anyone get anything besides 'regrets' from U of AZ? Doesn't look like it from the board. I'll say one thing about rejections...they sure make you appreciate your invites. Continued best luck to all.
