There are a few places that I'm still waiting on, but I know (because of this forum) that they've started giving out interviews already. I was wondering if people who got interviews at the following places are either go to school there or rotated there:

Drexel
Temple
Northwestern
Loyola
U Texas Houston
Orlando

If they've given out invites only to people who go to school there or were rotators, I can hold out more hope. If they've started giving out interviews to the general population, I can think about making my list that much shorter.

Thanks
Drexel and Temple already went out (email for the former, snail mail for the latter). I rotated at both, so I don't think I help you much...

I interviewed at Loyola last weekend, didn't rotate there nor am I from there if that helps ?
I havn't heard anything about UT-Houston or Orlando either, so we're in the same boat as far as that goes.
I was told by someone who goes to Northwestern 2 weekends ago that they're invitations have been sent out....but being a homeboy I don't know if he meant ALL the invites or just that he had gotten one, so that's not much help either.
Hang in there everybody, 91 days until match day (damn, that's not very long).....

UCLA - still handing out invites as cancellations roll in, will notify either way

UMass - still looking over applications

Mt. Sinai - sending out soon

GW - thanks but no thanks

Temple - letters sent out friday/monday. will let you know either way

Left messages: UCSF, Northwestern, AMC, Lenox Hill, HJD, St Lukes

Northwestern has already had several interview sessions, which have included non-rotators. Not sure if they're giving out mroe invites or not. Most sessions only have 1-2 nonrotators.

speaking of being sick of waiting.......still haven't heard from Pitt.....despite the fact that as far as i know all their interview dates have come and gone......hmmm.....saving an extra special date just for me, or don't care enough to let me know?.......i know which one i'm betting on at this point.

as for other places i haven't heard from...

george washington
UIC
Iowa
Kansas
Umass
Michigan
SLU
WashU
Dartmouth
Cinci
Akron
Penn State
Tennessee
UVA

my guess is none are particularly promising.

I think UIC's dates have already past. I didn't hear anything from them. They're off my list. Programs that can't even send you a simple email rejection are a pain in my a**. It is very unprofessional to not even respond to an application. I'm sure it would take about 20 seconds with ERAS, just like it took us 20 sec to apply.

I just got my Temple invite by snail mail for Jan. 10. I don't go there and didn't rotate there.

Still waiting on 11 places...

St Lukes and GW have notified for interviews. Talked to UCSF. They have a wait list if you haven't yet been hosed and will call by the end of next week (merry x-mas). Nothing from Lennox hill, HJD, or AMC (despite a call and an e-mail..does anyone actually work there?) Allegedly the san francisco program is coming sometime next week, but don't quote me on that.

Speaking of man... So i get an interview (the 10th), can't make it, and respectfully write them back.

They respond with a rejection letter.

What the is up with that. Dammit - I dumped them first! I feel like I'm junior high again.

Look forward to meeting many of you

i called or emailed about 15 programs i had not heard from. black wednesday. shocking how many had not bothered to tell me i had been flat out denied! pitt, illinois, houston, ucsf, chatanooga, a few others that escape me, will not send rejections. call em up if you are still waiting. there were several that had still left my file open with no indication that i had been waitlisted. i felt much better after i cleared the decks - i highly recommend doing the same before the holidays if you can find time.

been great meeting many of you on the road. proud to be a part of the outstanding folks i've met.

cheers

Got inspiration from the above posts and called most of the places from whom I had not heard anything. Only got a voice mail at several places, but in summary:

Grand Rapids, Robert Wood, Seton Hall, SUNY Syracuse, WVU - if you haven't heard by now, consider yourself not invited

Brooklyn-Queens - just starting to look at applications
St. Luke's - will continue to send invites through this Friday
Lenox Hill - invites within next week
Mt. Sinai - still making a list
NY Med West Chester - will get to it after the holidays
Union Memorial - hopefully will send invites by end of month

Hence, everyone enjoy the holidays, have a cold one, and rest assured that it ain't over yet

Ok, I need some assistance...if you know any of the following, please let me know (I want to book plane tickets soon).

What dates are the following programs interviewing:

UCSF, Lenox Hill, UMass, and the remaining Northwestern dates.

I am not holding out for any of these schools, but, just in case, I am only buying plane tickets for weekends that I know are filled for me (if that makes any sense).
