Can I please get an insider's take on this program (someone who rotated there or goes there)? Thanks.

Well, I don't come from there and I didn't rotate there, but since this post has gone unanswered, I figured I would take a stab at it. Talking to an insider at that program I got the general scoop. This is a "blue-collar" residency that works their @#$ off and is very trauma heavy. What I mean by "blue-collar" is that they are a program that puts a lot more energy into actually doing things rather than designing really good studies and cranking out research. This doesn't mean that they don't do reasearch, but they are not like other heavy hitting academic places. From all accounts, the group of guys there is second to none to work with and very cool. However, the people that I have talked to on the trail are mostly using this place as a backup. This is because it is VERY trauma heavy (but you would expect that from Newark) and because it is in Newark. Hope that helps. Maybe a real insider can add some things to my info.
