Regions Hospital/University of Minnesota is seeking a qualified candidate to fill 1 Combined Adult Reconstruction/Orthopaedic Trauma position for the 2015-2016 academic year, beginning on August 1, 2015.

 

The fellowship is a 12 month unique training experience in the operative and clinical management of adult reconstruction combined with orthopaedic trauma. The fellow will participate in a high volume total joint practice including both primary and revisions with the latest technologies in TJA, including direct anterior total hip arthroplasty. The program will emphasize all aspects of adult reconstruction surgery including trauma, arthritis, and post-traumatic reconstruction. The fellow will work with 6 fulltime orthopaedic faculty as well as orthopaedic residents and staff as an integral part of the orthopaedic service.

Successful completion of the fellowship includes the execution of two publishable manuscripts, 1 adult reconstruction and 1 trauma. To accomplish these goals, the fellow will have access to the University of Minnesota Medical Library and the Regions Hospital Trauma Research Center. We also have a dedicated Clinical Research Team based at Regions Hospital who is available to help with the administration and operation of all research.

Qualified candidates are current PGY5 orthopaedic residents in an accredited US orthopaedic residency program and available to obtain a Minnesota medical license.
