
Boston University Sports Medicine Fellowship program is seeking to fill an opening for August 2016. This is a 1-year ACGME accredited fellowship program.
This fellowship is primarily based at Boston University Medical Center and Boston University Ryan Center for Sports Medicine. The fellowship program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), accredited by the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and recognized by the Arthroscopy Association of North America. The fellowship is directed by Dr. Robert J. Nicoletta, MD, Director of Sports Medicine at Boston Medical Center.
Responsibilities of this fellowship include a sophisticated subspecialty surgical experience which involves all aspects of sports medicine-related surgery, including arthroscopic surgery, ligament reconstruction, and surgical procedures particular to the athlete with a heavy focus on the shoulder and knee. The Fellow will obtain, under supervision, outpatient sports medicine clinic experience for evaluation of acute and chronic athletic injuries at the Division I level. The fellowship involves on-the-field supervised coverage of athletic events at Boston University.
