The Hospital for Special Surgery is pleased to announce the formation of a new Shoulder Fellowship to start on August 1, 2016. The goal of the fellowship is to offer a comprehensive education in shoulder surgery.
The fellow will be introduced to a broad range of shoulder pathologies and procedures, from arthroscopy to arthroplasty. The faculty includes several leaders in the world of shoulder surgery, including two former presidents of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES). Clinical responsibilities will include office and operating room coverage. The fellow will have ample research opportunities and will be expected to be productive in this area. They will have access to the HSS Shoulder Arthroplasty Registry, as well as a shoulder biomechanical laboratory that is staffed with a collaborating PhD and a research engineer. Applications are now being accepted. To obtain more information, please contact Brandon Bascomb at
