Physicians
who participate in this nationally-acclaimed fellowship receive
extensive experience and training in surgery, clinic, academics, and
research. The training is accomplished through busy surgical and
clinical practices, cadaver dissection, bio-skills laboratory,
rehabilitation exposure, on-the-field experience, formal Weekly
teaching conferences, and research projects. The highly structured
program includes more than 200 hours of didactic lectures on sports
medicine, indications, rehabilitation, journal club, dissection-related
topics, and biomechanics.
While at the Center, fellows
critically review more than 500 published articles which provide a
sound scientific base and personal reference library for future
decision making in their own practice. The fellowship offers extensive
anatomical and bio-skills experience on highly technical and innovative
arthroscopic techniques, and complex knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle
surgery.
