The attendings were outstanding. All were very interested in teaching and are also pretty young.

Daily lectures from 7:00-8:00 were very informative.
Operating Experience
People may worry about the amount of trauma one might see at a community program but the trauma load at UTC is pretty heavy.
Clinic Experience
Varied experience; subspecialty out-rotations provide us the traditional experience.
Research Opportunities
Most residents are involved in at least one research project and are encouraged to think of their own project to start.
Residents
The residents make this place special. They take pride in the fact that they all get along so well and fit in. There are no girls in this program so that may be a worry to some people.
Lifestyle
Chattanooga has plenty to offer in terms of entertainment, outdoor living and affordability. You are right in the middle of the mountains and a river runs right through the middle of the newly renovated downtown area.
