Ok, there should be a thread for these too (why should interviewees have all the fun).

Indiana via snail mail: offered no dates and told me to go fellate myself.

My wife is going to be soooo happy we don't have to move to Indiana.

i guess it's time to hit the bottle tonight too. Got a thanks but no thanks from louisville, yale, and maryland today. maryland did offer their research year if i'm interested in applying for it though. yeah right, i think i'll try my luck with the match first.

Rejected REALLY early: UNC, Wake

Rejected since: Ohio State, Duke, Jefferson, UMDNJ-NJMS

Interviews at: Albert Einstein (Philly), Monmouth

So far, not so good. Hopefully things will turn around in the near future, or else I'm gonna have to start looking for a research spot for next year

Getting denied at Jefferson sucked because I rotated there. Although admittedly, I was miserable during that rotation and would have ranked it last, I still thought I would get a courtesy interview because I worked hard. Oh well... I guess it's never too early to drink these days...

I've got 2 interviews and 6 rejections...still haven't heard from the others. I actually doubt that the numbers of applicants are hugely up though because I think applicants are all just applying to more programs to increase our chances...

huktonfonix, i'm betting our invitations are somewhere at the bottom of a frozen margarita or cold beer or whatever poison you prefer... remember what i learned in psych "no matter you're problem, big or small, alcohol will cure them all!"

Thanks dude, yeah I probably wouldn't have actually interviewed there but I thought that was going to be a "safety school" so it especially hurt. this comes after a week of being crapped on by my "safety schools". This year must really be competitive. Hmm...my PD said I would be competitive enough to only apply to 30 and get 10 interviews. Not happening at this rate.

It's friday night do you know were your interview invitation is? I know were mine is, oh that's right new mexico decided I didn't deserve one. Actually the email specified that I was a complete idiot and they wouldn't interview me even if there were no other applicants. Ouch!
Hey huktonfonix don't sweat UNM, it's hot, dry and I think you have to speaK spanish. I don't even know why I applied there!

did your PD have the stats to back that statement up (more applicants this year)? not saying that you're wrong, but just curious since people say this a lot on the boards every year.
