Anyone interview at Union Memorial

I thought the program/hospital was phenomenal. The residents were all really nice, the attendings seemed like a lot of fun and good to work with. I interviewed so...we didn't see much of the hospital. I believe it's a 6 year program though, they have some good research facilities though. The hospital is in a crummy area though, at least that's what I thought. Baltimore/inner harbor is pretty sweet though. I ranked them pretty high.

does anyone know how many of rotators they get each year?

bump... hi, could anyone who has rotated at Union Memorial tell us how the away rotation was and a quick overview of how it is structured and your experience? Thanks so much.

I don't know anything about the away rotation but I did hear that they recently kicked a resident out in their intern year. Not sure what you can really do in your intern year to warrant getting kicked out.

LOL that was hilarious! I just don't feel like anyone I was seeing repeatedly at the top interviews ever mentioned the place....

Then again, I hadn't heard of Ortho Carolinas until I started the application process and interviews, so perhaps it is awesome... I just haven't heard it hyped much.
