I was interested if anyone had any valuable information on the program at UC Davis?
Thanks

they do not have a relevant website. i rotated/applied there last year and liked it enough to rank it very highly. get ready for 18 months of extremely busy trauma service. solid group of folks with pretty good teaching. excellent spine service. new tumor guy this year, no idea how that is working out. very competitive spots (that's my story anyway since i didn't get one).

sacramento can be a little awkward. most of the single types don't really think it is big/sophisticated enough, but the married types have a hard time affording the skyrocketing housing prices. great location for a city, but you have to leave the area to take advantage of the rest of california for that to be meaningful.

hope that helps.

new tumor attending is excellent (worked w/ him as a resident) hard working, well trained, easy to get along with, very committed to resident education - both clinical and hands on.
