What do people know about this program? Historically it's been quite strong, but I've heard from a couple of people who rotated there recently that it's falling apart, and they are now on probation. Is this a temporary thing that will blow over, or are they real structural issues with the program?

Baylor was put on probation for not having a chairman. The committee came and reviewed our probation this Fall, and the official word as to our status is coming out in Jan. All I can tell you as to the review is that we do have a chairman now. We also had a change over in faculty after Baylor split from the Methodist Hospital during our 2nd year. Some of the orthopaedic faculty stayed with the hospital, so Baylor has been hiring new faculty to replace them.

Hope this helps.
