I have a general question.
I know people trade sites of residency within the specialty quite often.
But how common/possible is it to trade spots between the specialties?
Let's keep it within the surgical field.
Say, a resident in ENT would like to switch into Ortho after the intern year and vise versa. Or a general surgeon would like to trade with an Orthopod, or Neurosurgery resident decides it is not for him and goes into gen surgery, assuming he will find someonen who dreams of neurosurgery and scrambled into gen surg.
Is it even possible?
