Does anyone know if Grady has PACS or are all the films still hard copy?

Hatfield,

Not sure of your connection with Emory or your source of information, but thankfully, your answer is no longer accurate!

There is a PACS system that is on par with any other for MRIs and CT scans. As for plain radiographs, the trauma bays now have digital x-ray machines that upload to PACS. You would be correct regarding plain films done for non-trauma patients in the ER as well as inpatients/outpatients, as these are still in hard-copy format. Orthopedics does also have its own mini C-arm machine.

I hope this clears things up a bit...

Like whiskey said, its all PACS at grady now. On an unrelated note, I just wanted to post the links to our website (click orthopaedic residency program on the right side). The old site is still floating around online and may show up when you try to google us. The site is more or less up to date. Some minor corrections still do need to be made about rotation locations since the specialty hospital opened a few months ago. Hope to get it all updated soon.
