on eras how are you guys/gals posting poster and oral presentations. from what i understand you put that info in the publication section and then the date of the presentation shows up as the publication date.

also how do you distinguish presenter from participation on a project. for example, I was fortunate enough to present the research so i'm putting my name first. one of my friends did not present the poster but his name is on the poster so where does he put his name? can he even put that poster on his CV? he helped with the research just not the poster making or presenting.

You list the authors in the order they are listed on the abstract, whether it's a publication or a poster/presentation. You can always add parentheses after the citation stating what your role was (poster, presenter, etc.). Most meetings make the first author present, but if you presented something you're 2nd author on, you list your name second.

Also, keep in mind that if you presented a paper at a meeting, you can list the citation twice on your ERAS -- one for the presentation, another for the publication.
