I agree with everything mentioned above. Physical Exam of the Spine and Extremities is a good book. Lots of pictures. Pretty good description of the various tests. But like Mayday, there are a lot of tests (probably newer) that are not mentioned, specifically sports medicine exam stuff. I think it's a good book nevertheless. Surgical Exposures is a great book and a must have for RESIDENTS as Dr_Dre said. As a med student, I don't think I would buy it. It's like $200 dollars. I'd go with Netters Orthopaedic Atlas. That's also a great anatomy book, not procedure specific, but great for med students. It also has sections about various phsyical exam stuff, which can complement or even substitute for Physical Exam of Spine and Extremities.
