Can you give me an idea why you would not recommend it? Is it the location, faculty, operative experience, or something else?

For all those reasons. Look at the past several years passing rate of the written boards for graduating seniors and OITE scores.

Okay, here's the real deal from someone who's a little closer than making recs based on the FREIDA page.

King Drew Medical Ctr is in Crisis. They are truly on the verge of (and by now may have already) shut down.

A couple of months ago I heard that they had lost their general surgery residency program....so if you don't know what that means--> general surgery is ORTHO'S LIFELINE. We can't function without them, ESPECIALLY in an inner city urban trauma center like King Drew.

I would recommend avoiding this program.
However, (if their phones are still connected) try giving them a call
