If you want to maximize your chances, research should be way down the list, especially with already having productive research experiences. Focus on honoring as much of third year as possible and getting AOA.
In my opinion, doing any extra research in ortho specifically would be beneficial for the connections you could make with potential letter writers, not the research itself.
