Hey posted here before, Im a US citizen Carrib. student with good Step 1 score wanting to do ortho. I know the chances, im going to take Step 2 early, have 2 Ortho rotations set for next summer trying to set up 1 more. Im going to apply to the 2012 match and pray for a little miracle. My fall back is to try to get a paid research position in a hospital with a residency program. Do a year of research and hope to match the year after. Question is where do you go to find out about these type of research positions. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated. thanks

The best resource is this forum, actually.. poke around.. I have, and others have posted about the places you can go through. I know for a fact taht I sent in a list of places I applied to when I did a research year.
Look at my profile..then my posting history..you'll find it.

Otherwise, google it up..and call programs that you think might have it.. you never know if you can make a position up from scratch!
