I've seen some older posts, but "things are changing with step 2."

If one was to take Step 2 in mid-late August, the score wouldn't be back in time for an early ERAS submission, right?

One could state on ERAS that they planned to take Step 2 in Nov/Dec, and still take the test in August, right?

If one did that, got a schweet Step 2 score, and sent that score out to programs when it came back (mid Sept? Oct?), would the programs know you "snaked the system"? Would they care?

Would this plan allow one to avoid jeopardizing a stellar Step 1 while also getting Step 2 out to programs in time for interview offers if one so chooses?

I doubt residency programs would care that you have a different time period stated on your application. You could just say you changed your plan and moved your date up to get the test out of the way. I don't see how they could hold that against you.

As for timing, I took mine in early November and my CK test results came back early December. I got my score on a Wednesday and all of my interviews (except 1) were from that next Friday on through the rest of the interview season. I could update my CK score as I went on the interviews and programs seemed to appreciate that.
