From what I remember...
Seemed like a good program. Definitely a "numbers" program, for those that care. Do a pubmed search on Dirschl and you will find their criteria for interviewing med students. They claim to have successfully matched every med student they've interviewed in the last 10+ years or so. Dirschl is an all-star. Great guy, excellent knowledge. Any time I get a chance to listen to him talk at a meeting, I make sure to be there. I also met Campion and Lim. Both seemed to be good guys.
For negatives, I just didn't "fit in" at UNC. They ended up at the bottom of my list. The residents seemed to get along well with each other, but I don't think I would have fit in well with them. My perception after interviewing there was that I would classify it more as a Northeast program than a Southeast program. I still recommend to friends of mine to interview and apply there, but it wasn't for me. I didn't rotate their, so perhaps someone else can provide more info.
