A University of Minnesota Orthopaedic Spine Research Fellowship is currently available. This is a funded position working with Robert Morgan, MD and the faculty of the orthopaedic spine and neurosurgery departments at Regions Hospital in St. Paul and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN.

This research fellowship position deals mainly with spinal cord injury and spine trauma. duties will include, but are not exclusive to, creating hypotheses, writing proposals, conducting biomechanical studies, chart review, etc.

The requirements for this position are post-doc with a desire to enter into orthopaedic surgery. We are interested in candidates willing to make a 1 year commitment with the option to extend your contract for an additional year. This will allow for sufficient time to complete and submit publications for several research projects prior to the beginning of the residency application process.

I am the current research fellow in this position and can answer any questions that you may have. As an incentive, I had gone unmatched last year and after participating in this research fellowship was fortunate to match into a very good program. If you would like to be considered for this position please submit your CV, letter of interest, and contact information to Nate Slinkard, MD at [email protected]
