I've heard there are certain programs that will pretty much only look at applicants who have rotated with them. I was wondering if anyone knows of any of these programs so I don't waste my time/money. Thanks!!

That's typical of small programs that take one or two residents. Several programs also like to take internal medical students. The inbred programs are pretty well known on the circuit. Just ask the residents at your program.

Places that I know in the past have included Thomas Jefferson, Northwestern, Georgetown, and Columbia --> although Columbia may have changed more recently.

If you have a geographic area in mind and really are interested in a program there, there is no better thing to do than to complete an "audition" elective.

re. thomas jefferson -
I have a friend there, and from what I here they take people each year that did not rotate there.
