Hi everybody,
Sorry for yet another same old med student asking the same old question. I'm a third year applying to ortho and was wondering if I could get some advice getting into this wonderful place called orthopedics

Briefly:
Step 1: 246
Preclinical: basically all honors
3rd year: one or two honors, nothing spectacular
Research: first author hand biomechanics - being considered for publication/ presented at AAOS
- first author review article- being considered for publication (family med)
International experience (1 month mostly ortho)
LOR: sort of lacking, mostly had brief time with many attendings so hard to come by

I'm feeling kind of behind with my clinical grades and LOR's not working too well and was hoping you folks could give me some advice on if this will be a big stumbling block and what I can do to make up for this.
Thanks very much

Not sure I would worry too much about LOR's....if you have ortho electives ealry next year, you should get them then, provided you impress.

I'm a third year too, so I may not know what i'm talkin about.
