Dr. Arash Emami, chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at Seton Hall, is seeking a recently unmatched US-Allopathic medical school graduate for a 2-year long paid clinical spine research fellowship. This unique opportunity allows the fellow to work closely with Dr. Emami, as well as residents, other spine faculty, and the program director. Previous fellows have an excellent track record of matching, and preference at our program is given to research fellows in the application/interview process.

Position Title: Physician Research Fellow

Duration: 2 Years

Where: University Spine Center/Seton Hall Orthopaedic Surgery/St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center (www.universityspinecenter.com)

When: June 2016-June 2018

Salary: Full health+dental benefits, and annual salary

Duties of the research coordinator will include:
- Coordination of 3 large, multi-center trials/studies
- Statistical analysis of data
- Submission of protocols to the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
- Drafting and assisting in the writing/editing of sports medicine papers/abstracts/book chapters

Specific Prerequisites and Characteristics of the coordinators should include:
- Strong motivation for a career in orthopaedic surgery
- Proven interest in research
- MUST be extremely organized
- MUST be detail oriented
- MUST be able to self manage
- Strong academic record
